An inspiring panel of senior women leaders in Data Science will discuss the opportunities and challenges for women in data analytics.
In response to requests from Member Organisations, we have developed this Professional Diploma to afford participants a deeper understanding of the power and potential of Data Analytics, AI and other advanced technologies. Participants will learn how Data Science is transforming our lives – in business, in Government and in society as a whole.
90% of all data in existence today was created in the past two years. Being able to apply technology to better understand, analyse and utilise this data is an increasingly important skill set for career development. The Professional Diploma in Data Analytics & AI will help you to determine your path in this exciting and dynamic profession.

We believe the best learning comes from those who have developed their skills, knowledge and experience working with many of the top companies in the world. Our lecturers have been carefully chosen for their reputation as leaders in their chosen fields.
This is a fast changing industry with new approaches, techniques and technologies emerging every year. Learn from experts who are at the coalface, applying these technologies on a daily basis.
The programme has been developed to allow you to learn remotely. Lectures are delivered live through the Zoom Webinars platform. They are also recorded so that, if you miss a lecture, you’ll be able to catch up at a time that suits you.
As part of the programme you will also be asked to provide a book review of a leading analytics publication and to provide a 1500 word essay on completion of the lecture series.
On successful completion of the programme (including lectures, book review and essay) you will be awarded the Professional Diploma in Data Analytics & AI from the Analytics Institute. If you have yet to become a Member of the Institute, you will then be able to apply for Membership at a reduced fee.

Ciaran Hickey
Ciarán Hickey is highly respected and widely recognised across Europe for his data science skills and ability to integrate data driven processes into organisations. Ciarán partners with IBM’s clients to understand their challenging business problems and to develop innovative solutions leveraging data, analytics and AI services to enable them to transform their operations. Ciarán is also a member of IBM's European AI Core team and an active member of the UKI Data Science and AI communities and is a global instructor for the data science practice, training analytics teams in best practices and using innovative ways of working to solve complex analytics problems. He has written two published papers on Neural Networks and Artificial Intelligence operating model, and most recently won the ‘Analytics Practitioner of the Year’ award at the annual Analytics Institute Awards in 2020.

Dr. Susie Harding
As VP of Data Science at Arvoia, Dr Susie Harding has been leading the development of the Arvoia behavioural cloud over the last number of years. This includes the development of our proprietary 6D behavioural framework to transform raw data into behavioural data & understanding, the identification of key behavioural-driven AI use cases to solve problems in the Car Rental, Mobility, Hospitality & Telco sectors as well as introducing an end-to-end predictive modelling recommendations framework which puts Arvoia at the forefront of deep learning and behavioural insight.
With more than 10 years of experience, Susie has a unique combination of theoretical expertise from her years completing a PhD in biostatistics at University College Dublin, coupled with experience building big data, behavioural science-driven AI solutions at some of the world’s largest online gaming sites such as PokerStars, Full Tilt and Matchbook.

Joe Keating
For over 20 years, Joe has enabled businesses all over the globe to bring the benefits of Data & Analytics to bear within their organisation. Joe was a founding member of the Data and Analytics practice at Version 1, and spent several years driving Data Strategy implementations for diverse companies across Ireland and UK. At Dublin Airport, Joe helped to shape the Group Data Strategy and oversaw the delivery of key Data and Analytics initiatives across the organisation. To improve efficiency, drive revenue and reduce costs.
As Chief Data Officer at Glantus, Joe drives the company strategy to optimise Data, Analytics and Automation for continuous efficiency and process improvement based on the Glantus technology platform.
In his spare time, Joe is the Chairman of the ‘Data & Technology Advisory Group’ at Airfield Estate, working to identify areas where Data/Tech can be applied effectively to progress the organisation and their vision.

Alex Manek
Alex has deep IT experience garnered over a career spanning 3 decades. A Director within the EY Data and Analytics practice for the last 4 years, Alex has engaged with a number of private and public sector clients to assess their analytical maturity; with a particular focus on methodology and organisational structure. Alex has also architected a number of web based applications addressing the tax space that embed machine learning into business processes.

Casey Scott-Songin
Casey Scott-Songin is the Senior Manager: Data & Insight at The National Gallery, London.
She leads a team of quantitative and qualitative researchers who are responsible for understanding the holistic visitor experience at the Gallery as well as how it extends online. Her role is to inspire the organisation to make data-informed decisions and bring visitor voices to the forefront of experiential design.
She is a social/cultural anthropologist with a decade of experience in User Experience Research at organisations such as The British Museum, Which?, and Publicis Sapient. She specialises in bringing qualitative and quantitative research methods together to tell better stories. She is also the founder of The Creative Researcher, an online platform that helps researchers use creative methodologies in their practices. You can follow her on Twitter at @TheCreativeRes1.

Andrew Browne
Andrew holds a BA in ICT from Trinity College Dublin and an MSc in MIS also from Trinity College Dublin. Andrew has been working in technology sales for the past 20 years and his career has followed the shift from on premise hardware and software working with Dell, BMC and Oracle to today's fully cloud based IT systems with Qualtrics, ServiceNow and currently Snowflake. His move to Snowflake brings him back to his academic roots where he majored in Relational Database Systems. Andrew has experience working on large IT change programmes across a wide array of verticals including, Telecoms, Financial Services, Pharma, Retail and Manufacturing.

Alec Dolan
Alec's background is in Economics and Politics but he migrated to ICT in its early years in the Civil Service. He spent more than 20 years in ICT related roles in the Departments of Public Service and then in Justice, where he was Head of ICT and then CIO until 2018. Since then he has been a consultant working with ISAS and independently on Records Management and Privacy related projects. He recently qualified as a Certified International Privacy Practitioner. He has a particular interest in developments at the intersection between Analytics and Privacy and has been lecturing with the Analytics Institute and Independent College on Ethics, Privacy and GDPR.

Colin Kane is the Director of Customer Analytics in Group Marketing at Bank of Ireland. Colin has 15 years’ experience across a wide range of Data and Analytics programmes in Financial service. Colin has experience in Finance, Risk, Marketing, analysis to support Customers in financial difficulty and much more. Currently Colin is responsible for Marketing Effectiveness, Commercial Insights and Analytics for data driven customer engagement.
