Data Visualisation in Python with Matplotlib, Seaborn and Plotly
Wednesday 28 Sep 2022
02:30 PM - 3:45 PM
Python programming proficiency is the most sought-after skill in data science, and it's no wonder. With powerful statistical libraries, algorithmic capabilities, and built-in scalability, Python is the perfect language for data science. This masterclass session will focus on the growing area of data visualisation and charting with Python. We will compare the 3 key Python visualisation libraries: Matplotlib, Seaborn and Plotly.
These libraries unlock the power of data visualization from Python, allowing data analysts to extract real value from data, develop critical insights and communicate those insights to a target audience. From quick and easy exploratory visualisations, to complex interactive charts for professional looking reports, the Python data eco-system has grown into a mature, fully-featured solution.
This Masterclass will be led by Frank Callaly. Frank is a technical trainer and software architect based in Galway Ireland with over 15 years of experience working with, and leading, development teams to deliver large-scale high-performance software systems. With a background in Electronic Engineering at the National University of Ireland, Galway. Frank began his career primarily in the areas of enterprise Java applications, mobile telecoms networks and AI/ML with Python. Frank has lead teams to deliver software that has been deployed in mobile networks, including Tier 1 networks, across the globe.
In more recent times Frank has focused more heavily on the area of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Deep Learning, with a strong emphasis on the Python programming language. Frank also maintains an active role in production software development as technical lead on the ViciLogic project, providing a virtual platform for prototyping and training in reconfigurable hardware solutions.
