Industry experts come together to discuss 'Data as a Differentiator', 'Sixteen core data disciplines: how organisations can apply the sense-analyse-predict-actuate cycle' & experiences of 'Building an Insights function'. 

Patrick O’Sullivan, Senior Director of Data & Analytics
for Dell has 23 years of overall experience in the high tech and consumer goods industries providing enterprise level Data and Analytics solutions. Patrick leads a large global data and analytics team at Dell Digital with responsibility for various internal teams. Patrick has a wealth of experience  in the data space driving large analytics and information governance projects. Patrick is a passionate customer advocate with deep industry knowledge and interest in game changing technology analytics trends. He'll deliver a presentation on 'How Dell uses Data as a Differentiator'. 

Dr Eamon O Doherty is Head of Business Development at Insight, the SFI Centre for Data Analytics. He has worked in Asia, Europe and the USA on significant ICT projects that delivered data warehouses, transactional systems and business transformation. At Insight he works with industry and academia, both in Ireland and overseas, to agree collaborative data science research at scale. His presentation will focus on 'Sixteen core data disciplines: how organisations can apply the sense-analyse-predict-actuate cycle'. 

Rory Martin, Head of Strategic Insight with Sky Ireland, will present on 'Building an Insights function  – experiences from Sky Ireland' - He'll walk us through the journey that Sky Ireland has been on in building a local Insight function and will outline the challenges and learnings faced in building an Insights team that is now an integral part of the Irish business. Rory has built and led International Analytics, Research and Strategy teams that have influenced and delivered expansive commercial plans at the highest levels of multi-national organisations. He has a passion for understanding and articulating consumers’ needs through stories.  In his career he has looked to bring the ‘who, does, what, when’ of Analytics together with the ‘why’ of research to provide actionable Insight.
