Employing over 42,000 people in approximately 40 Government Departments, Offices and other agencies nationwide, and with a vision to provide world-class digital services to the State and to the people of Ireland, the Civil Service is now recruiting ICT Infrastructure and Operations Delivery Managers at Assistant Principal Officer level.

The ICT Infrastructure and Operations Delivery Manager is a managerial role which offers you the opportunity to develop your senior-level digital and ICT career while working in some of the largest organisations in the State, in areas such as enterprise architecture, technical infrastructure service design and delivery, server and client operating systems and architecture stacks, telecommunications and networking infrastructure delivery support, ICT/ cyber security, technical support, ICT service management, operations and server support, mobile device management, virtualisation delivery support, cloud computing, etc.

Many of the candidates who were successful in recent campaigns are now integral to and leaders of teams who have delivered critical projects of national importance and public prominence and were instrumental in the Government’s response to the pandemic and delivered critical projects of national importance and public prominence.

Although the majority of vacancies arising over the lifetime of the panel will be located in the wider Dublin area, a limited number of vacancies may also arise in some regional locations which may be filled from this panel. A panel will be formed from this competition to fill Assistant Principal-level ICT Infrastructure and Operations Delivery Manager vacancies in Civil Service Departments, such as the Department of Social Protection/ Enterprise, Trade and Employment/ Agriculture, Food and The Marine/ Environment, Climate & Communications/ Housing, Local Government and Heritage/ Justice/ Public Expenditure and Reform (Office of the Government CIO), offices such as the Revenue Commissioners and the Office of Public Works, and Civil Service roles in An Garda Síochána.
