Neil Bowden is an AI Business Development Exec, EMEA, at Dell Technologies. Based in Dublin, Neil works with enterprise, corporate, commercial and public sector organisations across EMEA to help them successfully adopt transformative, Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions as part of their business transformation. Neil also works with Dell Technologies strategic, solution and system integrator partners to create and deliver joint AI solutions to customers. Neil is a skilled AI evangelist who translates the complex into tangible business value, bringing in the right teams and partners to deliver end-to-end solutions that drive strategic growth. Whether addressing customers, partners, or industry experts, Neil focuses on delivering actionable insights and real solutions to overcome organisational, technology and legislative challenges.
Neil’s experience has enabled him to confidently and expertly bridge the gap between technology and business. With a deep understanding of AI's potential and the use cases that are already driving outcomes, from improving fraud detection, to optimising operations with automation or creating highly personalised user experiences, Neil wants customers to unlock business possibilities and win at AI. He is all about the ‘art of the possible’, adept at identifying customer challenges, crafting tailored solutions and overcoming implementing hurdles to accelerate time-to-value for customers.
Neil joined Dell Technologies in 2018 from Qualtrics, where he was an Account Director. Neil worked for Dell Technologies prior to this for 11 years in Irelands as a consultant and enterprise storage expert. He holds a BSc in Management of Information technology and Information systems and a Certificate in Technology (Programming) from Dublin City University.
With a strong background in risk management, quantitative finance, and advanced analytics, he leads the bank’s efforts to integrate artificial intelligence and machine learning into its financial operations, particularly within risk, finance, and treasury functions
Barclay is known for his deep expertise in the Python ecosystem and has been instrumental in driving innovation at the intersection of technology and finance. His work focuses on leveraging AI/ML to enhance decision-making processes and operational efficiency in complex financial environments.
In addition to his role at Deutsche Bank, Barclay is an accomplished visual artist. His works, which blend collage and CGI-rendered compositions, have been featured in Deutsche Bank’s extensive contemporary art collection, one of the largest of its kind globally Barclay’s dual expertise in both the technical and creative realms underscores his multifaceted approach to problem-solving and innovation in the financial sector.
