Day to Day

A Data Strategist is responsible for guiding an organization in leveraging data to drive business decisions and achieve strategic goals. This role combines data analysis, business acumen, and strategic planning to optimize data-related processes and foster data-driven decision-making. A Data Strategist works across various teams to ensure data alignment with organizational priorities, enhances data utilization, and maximizes its value.

Position Overview: The Data Strategist is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing data strategies that enable business growth and efficiency. This role involves analyzing data trends, identifying opportunities, and building a data-centric culture within the organization. You will have a mix of technical skills, strategic insight, and business knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Design and execute a data strategy that aligns with business goals, focusing on data governance, quality, accessibility, and analytics.
  • Review complex data sets to extract actionable insights, identify trends, and make recommendations to improve business outcomes.
  • Work with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, finance, and operations, to learn data needs and ensure data initiatives help business priorities.
  • Develop policies for data management, including data security, privacy, and compliance, to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
  • Empower contributors to make informed recommendations by translating data into meaningful insights, reports, and visualizations.
  • identify and deploy the best tools and technologies for data collection, storage, and analysis to optimize data processes and performance.
  • Educate and train teams on data literacy, promoting a culture of data-driven decision-making throughout the organization.

Skills/Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Business, or a related field
  • Proactive in identifying issues and creating effective solutions.
  • Skilled in managing projects, deadlines, and interested parties needs.
  • Proven experience in data analysis, strategy, or related roleProven proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Experience with data governance, data management, and compliance best practices.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing, ETL processes, and cloud data storage solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

Salary Range Transparency

Dublin 82,000 - 118,000 EUR per year

Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
