Many users copy formulas they do not fully understand, or avoid them altogether, and lose valuable time manually checking and matching. This masterclass breaks formula writing down into simple, repeatable steps.
This masterclass will guide you through practical business scenarios, showing you how to build logical tests with IF, AND and OR, retrieve information with XLOOKUP and its alternatives, and combine functions to solve real problems.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of the session, participants will be able to:
- Use Excel tables and named ranges to make formulas easier to write, read and maintain
- Build logical tests using IF, AND, OR and related functions to automate decisions in a spreadsheet.
- Use XLOOKUP, along with VLOOKUP and INDEX with MATCH, to retrieve information from other tables and sheets.
- Use text functions such as LEFT, RIGHT, MID, TRIM, CONCAT and TEXTJOIN to clean, extract and combine text
